PREPARING ELECTRONIC ITEMS FOR RELOCATING

            FLAT SCREEN TV

Today’s flat screen LCD, LED and Plasma televisions are expensive and delicate. Ideally these should be packed in the original manufacture’s carton. If this isn’t available, King’s packers would first wrap the TV in micro foam and then pack it in a specially designed carton with PE foam inserts. Do not plug in televisions for at least 8 to 12 hours; televisions need to adjust to room temperatures.

            COMPUTERS

Always make sure that you do back up and that disk drives are empty prior to packing.

             PRINTERS

Remove ink cartridges or toner bar from your printers, prior to packing. Place ink cartridges and toner bar into zip locks bags.

             REMOTE CONTROLS

Remove batteries, prior to packing and place into a 2 cubic carton or file carton.

              Stereo Components

Package units into China cartons, using lots of paper/bubble wrap if original cartons are not available.
